Meeting the Family

On September 20 Mom and Dad finally decided to take me back to the USA to meet more family and have some USA experiences.  In order to get there we wake up at 1:00 am Saudi time and drive 1.5 hours to the airport.  Then we get checked in and wait around for our 40 minute flight to Doha, Qatar. I did pretty good during most of this as long as I was fed or held. Mommy used a baby carrier to transport me through all the airports and onto planes.  We had a 2 hour layover in Qatar before boarding the 16 hour flight to Houston.  Luckily Mom got me a sweet seat on the plane and I was able to lay-down and stretch out most of the flight.  The most frustrating times during the flight were feeding times but other then that I did amazing!

At last we landed in the USA!! Nana and Papa picked us up from the airport and we headed straight for dinner.  I was so excited to see Nana and Papa again! When dinner was over we headed home and met Great Grandma Eddy. That first weekend my Aunt Selena also came to visit and I was able to meet my future Uncle Adam and cousin Madasin. One night a bunch of family came over and I met my cousins Alex and Nicole, my Great Aunt Sue and Great Uncle Danny and my second cousins Lilly, Eden, and Elias.

When the weekend was over Mom and Dad drove me north to Wagoner, Oklahoma to meet my Grandpa for the first time and to see Grandma again. I thought Grandpa was super cool!
A little later I was able to meet my Uncle Andy, Aunt Jackie, and cousins Kate and Evan.

From Wagoner, we headed to Stillwater to meet some of the Gilbert family.  I was able to meet my Great Grandma Gilbert, Great Papa Gilbert, and some of my Great Aunts and Uncles. They even all baby-sat me one day while Mom and Dad went to a football game.  My Uncle Chad and cousin Bailey also came to Stillwater for the weekend to meet me!

From Stillwater we headed back to Houston to give Dad some time to rest and relax before he headed back to Saudi Arabia.  Once we saw daddy off, Mom and I headed back north to Dallas to meet Aunt Traci and cousin Coleton and spend more time with Uncle Chad and Bailey.

It was great to finally meet my wonderful family!

Laughing

I've been back in the USA for a while now. So long that Dad has already returned to Saudi.  Lots of things have happened and I've met lots of new awesome people but I've been so busy I haven't had time to write about it.  I still don't have time today but I'm hoping to catch up soon. However, I wanted to record that on October 2 I rolled over from my back to my stomach.  I've been doing this on occasion ever since.  For some reason once I make it to my stomach I'm not so happy that I made that decision. Mom's still working on getting a video of that but I'll try to get her to do it soon. However, she did get some great video of my laughing so check it out!

First Trip to USA!

My Mom has been preparing all week for our trip to the USA!  This will be my first time on US soil since I was born.  I am an American citizen and can't wait to see my homeland. We land in Houston and will spend a few days there meeting my Great Grandma Eddy, Aunt Selena and cousins Beau, Wyatt, and Madasin. Then we will go to Oklahoma to meet my Grandpa Sperling for the first time, my Aunt Jackie and Uncle Andy, and cousins Kate and Evan.  I will also go to Stillwater to meet all of the extended family and see my future college campus-at least that's what Mom and Dad think.

The trip to get there takes about 21 hours with 2 flights one lasting 16 hours.  I'm not that concerned about it because I will have my own comfy bed and Mom and Dad to attend to my every need.  I guess if anyone needs prayers to get through it, it will be Mom.  But, please pray for safe travels. USA, I will see you soon!

Big Week

Since getting back from FranceI realizedI only had 12 days in Saudi before leaving for the USA. While this is great news, I also realized I had to make the most of my time with my Saudi friends.  I was finally able to spend some time with my favorite girl, Brooklyn.  My mommy likes to tease me and call her my girlfriend.  Her mommy even made us shirts to wear together!

I also had my first pool experience with Mom and Dad. I wasn't really sure what to think of the water so I was uncharacteristically quiet.  However, once they let me lay beside the pool I was back to my normal smiling, talkative self.

After fun at the pool I went to Gavin's 4th birthday party that was superhero themed. Aunt Lulu (Lindsey) even got me my own superhero cape with a J on it.  Dad had me flying around the room like superman!

On Friday, I helped Mom set up for my friend Luke's baby shower.  He hasn't been born yet but I already know we will be best buds.  Once set-up was done, I went to hang out with Mr. Brent and Mr. Jamie so Mom could enjoy the shower without worrying about me.

Friday night I watched my first OSU football game. The Cowboys won so Daddy says I'm a good luck charm.  Go Cowboys!

What a busy week!

3 months

Today I am 3 months old.  I have had a busy 3rd month full of growing, changing, smiling, and traveling. I love to squeal, gurgle and talk and kick my legs like I'm trying to ride a bike real fast. I'm still not a fan of tummy time but I'm getting pretty good at holding my head up high.  I've recently started to like sitting up in mommy's lap and watch the world. I find my hands super fascinating and tasty.  I've also just started holding onto toys and putting them in my mouth.  I know month 4 is going to be a blast. I will make my first trip to the USA!
