11 months!

Jacob’s Stats:

Age: 11 months
Weight: 19 lbs 14 oz
Length: 29”
Eye Color: deep blue
Hair color: blonde
Eating Schedule: 5 oz 3 times/day, 6-8 oz morning and night. Solids at lunch and dinner
Sleeping: Jacob naps two times a day.  His first nap is in the morning and his long nap is from around 3:30pm-5:30pm.
Clothing: Jake is in all 12 month
Teeth: Jake has 4 on bottom 1 on top and 1 on the way

New Activities: Jacob still loves the beach, the dishwasher, and playing with his toys.  He is getting very good at walking behind his walking toys and squeals when he needs someone to help turn him around. He also loves walking with people holding his hands. Jake is able to guide us like he has ahold of reigns. This month, Grandma and Grandpa came to visit before whisking me off to Ireland and Scotland.  I spent much of this month not at home.  Grandma and Grandpa were able to teach Jake how to say “uh oh” and work on “A-E-I-O-U” which has now appropriately been changed to “A-E-I-O-S-U- Cowboys”.  Jacob can say the first part and then just laughs when we finish. He loves his solid foods and eats quite a bit.  He also learned how to clap! This kid loves to eat. With how much food Jacob eats, I’m surprised he stays so slender.  Month 10 was such a fun month, now it's time for 11!

10 months!

Age: 10 months
Weight: 19 lbs 2 oz
Length:
Eye Color: deep blue
Hair color: blonde
Eating Schedule: 5 oz 3 times/day, 6-8 oz morning and night. Solids at lunch and dinner
Sleeping: Jacob naps two times a day.  His first nap is in the morning and his long nap is from around 3:30pm-5:30pm.
Clothing: Jake is mostly in 9 month clothes but we have started 12 month.
Teeth: Jake now has 3 teeth and 1 more on the way

New Activities: Month 9 has been different from previous months. Jake has learned to throw fits, which has been interesting to watch.  He likes to throw his head down and makes a cute, pathetic noise.  Jacob knows what he wants and when he wants it! He is also in a “mommy” phase and wants mommy most of the time. He has started wanting only solid finger foods and not purees but I still give him some puree at every meal.  He loves diced carrots, cheese, pasta, and beef. He tolerated diced green beans, blueberries, banana, etc. He started occasionally sipping from his sippy cup but mostly just loves throwing it. Jacob loves to stand and walk around furniture. He has even taken a few steps behind his toys. When he says “mamamama” it’s usually really whiney and means he needs something or wants to be held. "Dada" is usually a squeal of excitement.

We can't wait to see what month 10 will bring!

Woo-hoo! I'm 9 months old! I'm learning, growing, and changing everyday.  I love to explore and discover new things.  I also love being talked to, sang to, and rocked. My 8th month has been pretty great.  My Papa has been in Saudi for work and then at the end of my 8th month my Nana was able to come see me too.  I also took a trip to Dubai with Mommy and Daddy and a bunch of my friends but I'll write more on that later. It has been a blast having my Nana here during the day with Mommy to help take care of me.  I get lots of extra special attention and Mommy gets help.

I've learned lots of new things in my 8th month like waving "bye bye".  However, I do still do it after the person I'm telling bye has already walked away.  I learned how to climb the steps which has kept Mom super busy trying to teach me how to go down the steps without hurting myself (our villa has two steps that separate the kitchen from his play room and the foyer from the living area). Being able to climb the steps has also given me some more area to explore.  I found Mommy's abayas and played Peek-a-Boo in them.  As if that wasn't enough learning, I also learned how to pull-up on the coffee table, toys, and the couch.  I walk around the furniture some when I'm feeling really brave. I've even started crawling correctly when I want to.

This month I've been eating a lot more solids and even started chicken. My favorites are still apples, carrots, sweet potatoes, and bananas but I will eat most things Mommy gives me.  I've had a french fry or two and some bread from the table.  I still LOVE my puffs and Nana brought me yogurt melts from the USA which are yummy.

8 months!

Jacob’s Stats:

Age: 8 months
Weight: 17 lbs. 8 oz
Length: ??
Eye Color: deep blue
Hair color: blonde
Eating Schedule: 5 oz 3 times/day, 6-8 oz morning and night. Solids at lunch and dinner
Sleeping: Jacob naps two-three times a day.  His first nap is in the morning and his long nap is from around 3:30pm-5:30pm.  Sometimes he needs one more cat-nap to get through the day happily.
Clothing: Jake is in some 6-month clothes but has started wearing his 9-month clothes as well.

New Activities: Month 7 brought lots of changes.  Jacob became able to put himself into sitting position, started army crawling all around the house, and even trying to pull up. He has started eating solids more frequently including carrots, sweet peas, green beans, sweet potatoes, apples, bananas, avocados, and pears.  Jacob loves to laugh and play.  He is great at playing by himself with his toys. He is still the happiest smileiest baby ever.

As I said before, pictures are getting harder and harder to come by.  He is way too interested in his sign and doesn't want to be put in his bed if its not nap time. So we just do the best we can!

This is what pictures in the bed look like now

Are we done yet?
