First Overnight

While Nana and Papa were in Saudi, I decided to take full advantage and get a night away from Mom and Dad. It would be my first time to spend a full night away from my parents but I was so excited to have Nana and Papa all to myself.  Nana was at my house when I woke up from my nap and then around 6pm we headed off to their apartment.  Once there I had a whole new place to explore.  Nana and Papa let me get into all sorts of stuff that Mom and Dad usual won't let me.  I played with the entertainment center, the drawers in the kitchen, and even the toilet!  I crawled as fast as I could down the hall way hoping they wouldn't catch me but they shut the doors on me.

After a while of playing, we all sat down for dinner.

Of course Nana and Papa let me stay up way past my bed time but eventually it was time for bed.

At first it seemed like fun....
And then they left me...
I played so much with Nana and Papa that I slept until 9 am!  I just wanted to make sure they would want to keep me again in the future.  Once I woke up, Papa brought me into bed with him and Nana and we had fun playing.

At last, Mom started calling and asking for me to come home.  She must have missed me!  I had so much fun spending the night with my Nana and Papa.  I can't wait to do it again!

Recently, Papa was asked to come to Saudi Arabia to help out at the plant which means that Papa got to come visit me for free and without taking vacation time.  He says that the only reason he said yes is because of me! It was so much fun to see Papa every night and get to play with him.  Some nights he even put me to bed.  He also brought with him some supplies to help get my outside swing put up.

Although it was fun having Papa, we were sad not to have Nana too.  Then one day Papa said that Nana had found a way to come visit me too!  I was super pumped. Finally, Nana made it to the Magic Kingdom to spend some time with us.  It was great to see Nana all day and have her play with me, put me down for naps, give me baths, and even sometimes put me to bed.

One day I even took everyone out to my favorite place on Murjan, the beach!  It was a little cool so we didn't get in the water but we all had fun playing in the sand.

I'm so happy both my Nana and Papa were able to come to Saudi Arabia to see me!

Woo-hoo! I'm 9 months old! I'm learning, growing, and changing everyday.  I love to explore and discover new things.  I also love being talked to, sang to, and rocked. My 8th month has been pretty great.  My Papa has been in Saudi for work and then at the end of my 8th month my Nana was able to come see me too.  I also took a trip to Dubai with Mommy and Daddy and a bunch of my friends but I'll write more on that later. It has been a blast having my Nana here during the day with Mommy to help take care of me.  I get lots of extra special attention and Mommy gets help.

I've learned lots of new things in my 8th month like waving "bye bye".  However, I do still do it after the person I'm telling bye has already walked away.  I learned how to climb the steps which has kept Mom super busy trying to teach me how to go down the steps without hurting myself (our villa has two steps that separate the kitchen from his play room and the foyer from the living area). Being able to climb the steps has also given me some more area to explore.  I found Mommy's abayas and played Peek-a-Boo in them.  As if that wasn't enough learning, I also learned how to pull-up on the coffee table, toys, and the couch.  I walk around the furniture some when I'm feeling really brave. I've even started crawling correctly when I want to.

This month I've been eating a lot more solids and even started chicken. My favorites are still apples, carrots, sweet potatoes, and bananas but I will eat most things Mommy gives me.  I've had a french fry or two and some bread from the table.  I still LOVE my puffs and Nana brought me yogurt melts from the USA which are yummy.
